Girl Scouts Membership Evening

The Bush-Lopez Service Unit of the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas is hosting it's wildly popular "Mommas N Pajamas" Membership Evening on Monday, February 15th from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Sally Cheever Leadership Center, located at 811 N. Coker Loop, San Antonio, TX (Near Highway 281 and Nakoma).

This event is for girls in grades K through 12 who live in the Stone Oak and Rogers Ranch areas.

Local Optometrist Speaks at National Ortho-k Conference

Dr. Monica Allison of San Antonio, Texas was a speaker at the annual meeting and
educational conference of the Orthokeratology Academy of America (OAA) on
October 15th - 18th in Phoenix, AZ. Many international speakers presented on a
variety of topics including: controlling nearsightedness, non surgical
alternatives to vision correcting eye surgery, new lens designs
for -improved corneal reshaping treatment, pediatric Ortho-K, post-surgical
vision rehabilitation and new Ortho-K therapeutic treatments were unveiled.

Stone Oak POA approves apartments for environmentally sensitive canyon

For those not living in adjacent neighborhoods, take note of what your Stone Oak Property Owners Association (POA) is up to. The Stone Oak POA has approved a 300+ unit apartment to be built off Canyon Golf Road just north of Stone Oak Parkway. This environmentally sensitive canyon sits between the Canyon Rim and Champions Ridge subdivisions.

Bebe Martinez received award from BBVA Compass

Stone Oak is proud to congratulate  Erasmo "Bebe" Martinez, Branch Manager for BBVA Compass Bank.  Bebe recently received the Compass Gold Club award for 4th Quarter.  The Gold Club Award is given to Branch Managers in the Compass system for outstanding performance in customer service and product development.  Bebe was one of two managers in San Antonio to receive this prestigious award.  Bebe is the Branch Manager of the BBVA Compass location on Blanco Road just north of Loop 1604 in Stone Oak.

Kids with Heart contest

Village at Stone Oak is launching a new program, Kids With Heart this
Valentine's Day that recognizes 10 outstanding youths in the San Antonio
community.  Kids With Heart is a program designed to recognize kids who are
18 years of age or younger and have demonstrated compassion and generosity
towards others in need.  A grand prize winner and nine runners-up will be
selected as the Village at Stone Oaks's first-ever Kids With Heart award
recipients.  Prizes include a $500 donation to the charity of the grand
