Methodist Stone Oak Breaks Ground on Expansion Project

Methodist Stone Oak Hospital staff and volunteers, who were there when the hospital opened its doors 7 years ago, broke ground on a100,000-square-foot expansion project this morning. The expansion will include more than 70 additional beds, 36 surgical step-down beds, and a 15-bed acute rehabilitation facility for patients needing physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.  Joining in with shovels were two of the first babies born at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital when it opened in March, 2009.

A major construction milestone was reached yesterday in the construction of the new $50 million Baptist Orthopedic Hospital set to open in fall 2016. The hospital’s final steel beam was hoisted into place signifying the completion of the structural phase of the three-story building which is set on the campus of North Central Baptist Hospital.

Our team is the heart and soul of the practice and we want our patients to get to know and love them as we do. Our first team member profile will be our new Optical Manager, Diane Miranda. Diane was born in Miami, FL but has lived in San Antonio for most of her life. She has been in the optometry field for ten years and continues to learn and evolve with the optometric industry. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
