Saturday, May 6, 2017 is election day in San Antonio.  City of San Antonio Registered Voters will have the opportunity to elect a Mayor,  ten council members and vote on 6 Bond Propositions totaling $850 Million.  Click here to find your polling place and see a sample ballot. The quick response of two Vineyard Ranch Elementary staff members saved a student’s life. While monitoring the cafeteria during lunch time, Bernardino Aguilar and Josefina Villasenor were alerted to a student that was choking. Both employees immediately went to the student’s side and identified that the student was choking and in need of help. Bernardino and Josefina took action immediately and performed the Heimlich Maneuver on the student and were successful in dislodging the food.

The 85th Texas Legislative Session is in full swing and the Johnson HS PTSA Smart Driving Club was back again in Austin to do their part to help advocate for the passage of a state wide law to ban texting and driving.
