Johnson High School hosted the renowned driver safety program, “Shattered Dreams,” March 28-29.  Shattered Dreams dramatically showed junior and senior students how irresponsible choices can end all dreams.

The Texas UIL announced its sports district realignment Feb. 1, with changes affecting North East ISD for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years.  South San Antonio ISD has joined the NEISD schools as they all move to District 27-6A.

CT Johnson High School Senior Karsten Battles was formally recognized in a special assembly at his school Thursday, Nov. 30, by representatives of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and American Family Insurance.  Battles will start as the West Team’s long snapper at the U.S. Army All American Bowl, held in the Alamodome downtown on January 6, 2018.

The Unity Ambassadors Club of Ronald Reagan High School rallied this fall to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.  They adopted Jack Yates High School, located in Houston’s historic Third Ward, whose students had lost many of their belongings in the flood.

Church Unlimited San Antonio is one of many local churches that mobilized to help those devastated by the effects of Hurricane Harvey along Texas’ coast.  The new San Antonio branch felt especially compelled to help because its main campus is headquartered in Corpus Christi, with satellite branches throughout South Texas.
