Open for Business!

Open for Business!

It is important to listen to our local, state and national leaders during this coronavirus pandemic.  However, it is also important to continue to do business with our local businesses in Stone Oak. They need your support now, more than ever.

How can you help?  Here are some suggestions:

1. Order food for take-out, curbside pickup, delivery or Uber Eats from your favorite restaurant.

2. Shop online at your favorite store websites.

3. Consider purchasing a gift card now to use in the future or to give as gift.

4. Support your local church and maybe consider doing an online giving program now.

5. If you have a scheduled appointment with your doctor, call them first to see if you should still come in or if they can just refill a prescription for you at your local pharmacy.

6. Don't panic buy.  If you need something at the grocery store, go and get it, but do not overbuy.  There is plenty of supply.

7. Check with your hair salon or nail salon and make an appointment in a slower, less crowded time slot.

8. Support your local home service companies.  Many of their services are excellent and safe to use during this crisis, including widow and house cleaning, pool cleaning, maid service, lawn and pest control service.

9.  Call your CPA or tax preparation service to see if they can help you file either an extension or prepare your taxes virtually.

10. Give your dog a doggy play day and keep your pet grooming appointments.

If we all do a little, it will mean a lot to our local business community and neighbors.

Look for a special section in our April issue of Right at HOME called OPEN FOR BUSINESS! We will have listings of local business who are open and want to continue to do business with you and support you in this
