Sean Elliott and Claudia Zapata-Elliott join the Methodist Healthcare team.

The Elliotts

Physicians and staff celebrated on Wednesday, June 20th, new beginnings for the hospital as its women’s services units expand to offer more space for new moms and their arrivals.  The expansion is in response to the rising demand for health care services in rapidly growing North Central San Antonio.

In addition to celebrating the expansion of services, CEO Marc Strode announced two exciting new additions to the Methodist Healthcare family: husband and wife, Sean Elliott and Claudia Zapata -Elliott.

The couple have a history with Methodist.  Sean Elliott received his kidney transplant in 1999 at Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital and continues to get his care with Methodist physicians.  The Elliotts are anxious to take their combined passion of health and wellness and work with Methodist Healthcare to educate the community on living healthier lifestyles.

Methodist Stone Oak Hospital opened in 2009 and employs nearly 1000 people.  The facility sees 12,000 patients for inpatient services annually and 8,000 for outpatient services and cares for 30,000 patients in the emergency room each year.
