Reagan DECA Students Succeed


65 Students from Ronald Reagan High School’s DECA team will advance to the state competition Feb. 24-25, held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, said school DECA sponsor Michelle Moore.  


Reagan’s DECA organization had unprecedented success Jan. 19 at the district competition, with 77 students competing in written events and role plays in business fields of marketing, finance, management and hospitality.  65 of the 77 advanced to compete in state.  Winners at the state level will head to DECA’s international competition in Anaheim, Ca., April 26-29. 


DECA involves more than more than 219,000 high school members in 5,000 classrooms in 3,500 schools across the world who are preparing for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, management and entrepreneurship.
