Although it’s October, the holidays will soon be here. That means the mad rush to pack and ship your gifts to all points of the country, will overwhelm us before we know it.  The UPS Store #3810 at Blanco Rd. and Loop 1604 offers  several solutions to their customers through this holiday headache.

“The UPS Store will professionally pack your gifts to the UPS standards, so they arrive in the same condition they were sent,” says Stormie West. Owner of The UPS Store #3810.  And if you are expecting to receive a lot of packages during the holidays, The UPS Store can be your Ship To address and receive those packages for you for a nominal fee of $5 per package. This is a great service and it prevents items being stolen from your front porch.  For your convenience, The UPS Store can receive packages from any and all the major carriers including UPS, FedEx, DHL, Lone Star and of course, the United States Postal Service.

As a reminder, the domestic Christmas shipping deadlines are as follows:  Tues, Dec. 23 is the last day to ship UPS Next Day Air (arriving Wed, Dec 24);  Monday Dec, 22nd  is the last day to ship UPS 2nd Day Air; Fri, Dec 19th is the last day to ship UPS 3 Day Select; and Ground shipments should be shipped out no later than Wed Dec. 17th to ensure delivery before Christmas.

In addition to packing and shipping services, The UPS Store has solutions for small business owners, especially those who run their business from a home office. For these operators, a UPS Store Private Mailbox is a fantastic idea.  “Private mailboxes have a professional look,” explains West.  This adds credibility to your business without having the expense of a brick and mortal operation.

Private mailboxes can receive packages and they can be held at The UPS Store for pickup at your convenience. “But, you don’t have to have a mailbox at my store to receive packages, you just pay the $5 fee per package and we will receive and hold them for you for pickup,” explains West.  “However, private mailboxes are a more secure way to receive your mail.  And many of my customers use them just for that reason,” says West.

Finally, The UPS Store can alert you when you have mail, either by email, text or remotely if you call in.  This keeps you from making a wasted trip to the mailbox if you do not have any mail to pick up.

In October, The UPS Store is running a special promotion on renting a private mailbox.  Sign up and rent your box for a year and they’ll waive the set up fee and give you (3) additional months for FREE.
