Two Reagan students receive writing award

Two Reagan High School students were recently name recipients of The National Council of Teachers of English Achievement Award in Writing.  Michael Mancini and Suchee Shah were among 543 high school seniors chosen for this award.  More than 1,600 students across the country were nominated.

Established in 1957, NCTE’s awards program is designed to encourage high school students to write and publically recognizes the best young writers.  Students are nominated for this award during their junior year.

Mancini and Shah will be recognized during a future NEISD school board meeting, along with their English teacher, Kimberly Lippincott.
