Bush music groups win Best in Show in Director's Choice Festival

Bush Choir wins Best Of Show Award

Bush Middle School music groups participated in the Director's Choice Festival in Dallas on Saturday, May 17, 2008, and won Best in Show trophies. The choir, orchestra and band won this award after having earned superior performance ratings at the Spring UIL contests.
"Our students continue to work hard year after year," said Dianna Jarvis Bush choral director. "This latest Best in Show ranking marks the sixth such award in our ten year history." The Bush choir competed against 10 choirs, ranging from children's choirs to high school choirs. The boy's choir received first divisions, and were named Best in Class. The combined seventh and eighth grade girl's choir received first divisions, were named Best in Class and earned the prestigious Best in Show award.
The Bush symphony orchestra received first division superior ratings from all three judges. They also received the Outstanding in Class award and the Overall Outstanding Orchestra award.
The Bush bands competing in the festival received superior ratings on stage from each of the three judges. In addition to receiving a superior rating on stage, both bands were awarded a trophy for most Outstanding in Varsity and Non-Varsity classifications.
