A Fiesta Event that will have Tails Wagging

Calling all pooches, and humans, if you love your dog this Fiesta event is for you. Therapy Animals of San Antonio is making sure your dogs have their moment to shine at Fiesta. The 15th annual Fiesta Pooch Parade is this Saturday and is calling for all pooches and humans to get out and enjoy the day.
This 5k(3mile) parade will be taken place on the tree-lined streets of Alamo Heights.The event starts at 8am and will also have special exhibits and educational presentations before the parade.
North Central Baptist offering high-level care for mothers and babies

Having a baby is a beautiful event in your life and finding the right hospital is key to ensuring you and your baby will get the proper care. North Central Baptist is growing when it comes to labor/delivery. The expansion includes more room for delivering babies as well as a new NICU unit with the highest level of neonatal care.
Reagan High School honors victims of the Boston Bombing

In the wake of this terrorist attack, which took the lives of three people and injured more than 170, North East ISD encouraged staff and students to wear running shoes on April 19 in honor of those affected by the tragedy. Reagan took it a step further by handing out race bibs to students, many of whom sported running clothes for the day.
LaSalle Group to open first memory-care facility in San Antonio

Stone Oak will be getting its first memory-care community. According to the San Antonio Business Journal, La Salle Group has announced that Autumn Leaves of Stone Oak will be built in the coming months. The 30,000-square-foot, $10.7 million facility will be located at 20272 Stone Oak Parkway on the far North Side.
In an interview with the San Antonio Business Journal, Jason Glover, regional director of development in Texas for the LaSalle Group says they are looking forward to bringing their expert care to families in Stone Oak.
Johnson Athlete is the ESPN Player of the Week
Submitted by Christina Ochoa on Mon, 04/22/2013 - 9:40am.ESPN’s Dat Nguyen paid a surprise visit to Johnson High School girls soccer standout, Nia Stallings on April 18. The young athlete was selected as the ESPN Player of the Week for her amazing efforts on and off the field.
Dat, the former Texas A&M Aggie and Dallas Cowboy linebacker, was on hand to present her a certificate. “I just found out about this today,” said an excited Nia who leads the team in goals this season. Nia’s parents, coaches and the rest of her team were there to cheer on her latest athletic achievement.
Methodist Stone Oak Hospital names a new Chief Financial Officer

The El Paso native previously served as Vice President, planning and business development at Las Palmas del Sol Healthcare in El Paso.
He has been responsible for driving key strategic growth opportunities within the El Paso market. In 2011, he was selected as one of three candidates within HCA to participate in the CEO Executive Development Program.
Local Artist shows off paintings at Local Coffee

The warm environment at Local Coffee makes her feel right at home. When she turns to sit down, she sees her paintings being showcased on the walls. She never thought her hobby would turn into a local sensation.

Johnson JROTC Air Rifle Teams Qualifies for the 2013 National Championship

It was a long two roads to get there but they did it. The “Lady Bird” Johnson High School Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) Air Rifle Teams traveled two roads to qualify for the 2013 Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Junior Three-Position Air Rifle National Championships.
Lopez Drama Wins

Lopez competed against the other large division schools in the district and won 24 Outstanding Performer plaques, 12 1st place Blue ribbons, 24 2nd place Red ribbons and 10 3rd place White ribbons.
