Stone Oak Residents were startled by the sound of gunshots echoing across the usually quiet neighborhood early Tuesday evening.  A drive-by shooter destroyed the fronts of multiple businesses in the small shopping center in the 200 block of North Loop 1604, located on the south side of the highway between Blanco Road and Stone Oak Parkway.

The Stone Oak Rotary Club will present bicycles to 60 elementary school students at three local schools, beginning May 18.   The Rotary Club has a long commitment to community service, including the Stone Oak chapter’s creation of the FLAG (Fitness, Literacy, Attendance and Grades) program to reach out to at-risk children.

A North San Antonio man, a Johnson High School father, has been missing since Wednesday, May 2, in the North 281 area.  47-year-old Scott Mayer has three daughters and is well known in the community through his association with the Sliders baseball organization, Johnson High School, and as a baseball coach.

Reagan Band invited to perform at 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Students from the Ronald Reagan High School Marching Band were surprised Wednesday morning, May 2, with a visit by parade officials inviting the band to march in the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Reagan will represent the state of Texas in the parade, which is the first Macy’s Day appearance by the band.
