Here is your chance to commit to be fit – Get 30 days free at the YMCA

The Mays Family YMCA has something for everyone in Stone Oak.  Maybe you’re already familiar with their youth sports programs for football, baseball or soccer.  But there is much more in store for you at your local YMCA.  Mays Family YMCA opened their 45,000 square foot Family Wellness Center in January of this year.  They offer group classes in Yoga, Latin Dance, Cycling, and Pilates. You’ll also find treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes, free weights and machine weights so you can take circuit training to the next level.

Not sure where to start?  The 12-week program, “Commit to Be Fit” is your answer.  You will meet with a fitness technician who will customize a routine for you based on whether you want to tone, lose weight or gain strength. The YMCA has also recently partnered with the American Diabetes Association.  Learn how the right combination of diet and exercise, can help prevent diabetes or even delay the need for drug therapy for those with diabetes.

Did you know that each year 10,000 children are registered to play sports at Mays Family YMCA? Each one of these children are placed on a team and they all wear uniforms. How can this help me promote my business you may ask...well for $300.00 you can sponsor a team.

For the $300.00 Team Sponsorship you will receive, your company name on upgraded team shirts, a plaque of appreciation to hang in your office or home, participation in the Season Opening Day Vendor Expo and your company logo posted on Mays Family YMCA website for each season you sponsor a team.

The money raised from these sponsorships goes to the Mays Family YMCA, YPartners Scholarship Fund. At the YMCA no one is ever turned away due to their inability to pay. So by sponsoring a team you can promote your business but also support the YMCA in helping those in our community who are in need.

Featured Business – Cowboy Cleaners

Cowboy Cleaners has been keeping San Antonio looking sharp for over 40 years. The folks at Cowboy Cleaners know that your wardrobe is one of your biggest investments and they’re committed to keeping your clothes looking new. They believe in using the best products and hiring the best people to do just that. They specialize in executive shirts, alterations, linens, bridal gowns and draperies and also have laundry service available. They will even replace buttons and make minimal repairs at no extra charge.
But what really sets Cowboy Cleaners apart is the 24-hour pickup window at their store at Huebner and Blanco. If you’ve ever gotten ready for a business trip only to realize that you forgot to pick up your cleaning, then listen up! You can sign-up for the 24-hour service, pay with a credit card and then pick up your cleaning using the touch screen at 3:00 am if you want. Cowboy Cleaners also offers direct to your door pick-up and delivery service.
The business was started by Don and Peggy Maisel and is now run by their daughter, Vicky. If you ask where the name Cowboy Cleaners came from, you’ll hear “Cause That’s What Vicky’s Daddy Named It.” When asked about her vision, Vicky says “We don’t want to be the biggest, but we do want to be the best. The money isn’t as important as doing the right thing. Success comes with that.”
There are seven locations around the city and three of them serve the Stone Oak area. The newest store in Timberwood Park opened last summer. If you live outside the city limits, you can still enjoy the quality service of Cowboy Cleaners.
