SAHA/Talavera Deal Off

Thank you for your comments about the proposed purchase of the Talavera and Marquis at the Legends apartments. We appreciate your input, and I encourage you to check our website at www.saha.org, where we will be adding and updating information about many of the questions that have been raised.

As for the proposed acquisitions, the San Antonio Housing Authority and the sellers of the two apartment complexes have reached an impasse in the earnest money contract negotiations regarding a number of matters relating to as-is conditions and liability issues. As a result, it appears this proposed transaction will not move forward.

ON SAHA & THE TALAVERA APARTMENTS

As many of you know, SAHA has decided not to purchase two luxury apartment communities for affordable housing at the intersection of Loop 1604 and Blanco Road.   I have been opposed to this project since I first learned of it several weeks ago, and believe SAHA has made the right decision.

At the meeting we hosted on October 30th, District 9 residents asked a number of well thought-out questions about this transaction.  I pledge to continue asking SAHA these same questions which are listed below:
