Cafe Paladar brings culture to Stone Oak

1072

Café Paladar was transformed Monday night from a chic restaurant in Stone Oak into a beautiful art gallery.  The ambiance of Café Paladar was the perfect venue for local San Antonio artist to showcase their collections.

Most of the art was contemporary in design and offered a variety of colors, hues, and textures.  Abstracts, animal paintings, and self-portraits, dressed the walls and tables, each artist illustrating their own unique style.  Several of the artists attended the event and shared perspectives of their creations.

In addition to the visual displays, Chef West created palate pleasing tapas such as Mini Duck Confit Crispy Tacos, House Smoked Salmon Nachos, Honey Rum Black Bean Empanadas, for the guests to enjoy.  Accompanied by sangrias and wine, a good time was had by all!

Press Release from TxDOT

State approves more Interstate 35 truck lane restrictions

AUSTIN * The Texas Transportation Commission approved a left-lane restriction for large trucks on portions of Interstate 35 in Bexar, Guadalupe, Comal and Hays Counties.
These restrictions would prohibit truck tractors with three or more axles from operating in the inside left lane from just south of Loop 1604 in the city of Live Oak northward to the southern city limits of San Marcos.
TxDOT worked closely with local jurisdictions along the route to develop the lane restriction and conducted a traffic study, which concluded it would be beneficial to both safety and general mobility to implement such a restriction.
