Having passed the Dec. 31 deadline calling for the termination of Stone Oak’s current governing body, the Property Owner’s Association recently changed by-laws regarding the make-up of its future leaders. In order to provide a smoother transition, the first new Board of Directors will now be appointed by the current Project Planning Committee and will have a staggered term of office.
Another two traffic lights will be going up along Sonterra Boulevard, a busy thoroughfare connecting Hwy 281 and Stone Oak Parkway. The Texas Department of Transportation is expected to pay for and install a light at Hardy Oak, while Concord Property Corp. is footing the bill for a $350,000 signal at Sigma Road.
The initial member Board of Directors is to be elected at the first annual meeting of the SOPOA following the termination of the Project Planning Committee.
Christmas came a few days early for Linda and David Murray, winners of StoneOakInfo’s recent contest for a free puppy from Petland at Sonterra. The mother and son were awarded the 18-week-old cocker spaniel on Saturday, Dec. 22, and are quickly adjusting to their new addition to the family.
