Stone Oak Rotary to host wine tasting, auction

All are invited to attend this event which will include exquisite wines, hors d’oeuvres and silent auction.

Pasión Bistro receives new name, menu
Submitted by Staff on Mon, 03/17/2008 - 4:06pm.Following a similar move in Dallas, restaurateur Jorge Fernandez Alonso will revamp his former Pasión Bistro near Loop 1604 and Blanco Road into an upscale steakhouse. Serving both classic and innovative recipes, Ounce Steakhouse will open May 1 at 1401 N. Loop 1604 within the Vineyards shopping plaza.
Accident caused Sunday's power outage
Submitted by Staff on Mon, 03/17/2008 - 2:44pm.Residents in and around the Pinon Creek subdivision lost their power for an hour and a half late Sunday night after a car hit a utility pole near Evans and Bulverde roads. A CPS employee said the accident activated an automatic safety device which cut power in the area. Electricity remained off from 11 p.m. to 12:39 a.m.
Prom dresses collected for Formally Yours program
Submitted by Staff on Sat, 03/15/2008 - 4:31pm.The Reagan PTA, along with the North East Council of PTAs, are collecting prom dresses for NEISD students who cannot purchase a gown of their own. Called Formally Yours, the program was first initiated last year by Laura Salinas, a parent of three.
