10th Soccer Game Honors Fallen Classmate

The 10th annual Ian’s Cup Soccer Match between Reagan and Johnson High Schools will be held on Friday, February 22, at Blossom Athletic Center. The boys’ game will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the girls’ game at 7 p.m.  The Ian’s Cup Trophy will be presented at the conclusion of the girls’ game.  At the end of the games, scholarships are awarded to deserving seniors selected by the Ian’s Foundation board.

Imagine tucking your children into bed in a hotel and then realizing the room was infested with bedbugs! This scenario is exactly what happened to visitor Kali Powell, who found last week, to her horror, that her room at the Drury Inn and Suites in Stone Oak was covered with the critters.

Powell reported the incident to hotel management and called News 4.

Reagan Band Honored to Play at Top Tier International Music Conference

Once again, the Ronald Reagan High School band has racked up another top tier accomplishment.  Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, the band’s Wind Ensemble performed at the 72nd annual Midwest Clinic International Band, Orchestra and Music Conference in Chicago. Reagan is only second high school band from San Antonio selected to perform in the history of the conference.  The last time was decades ago - in 1983.

Southbound 281 Ramps at Sonterra Boulevard Closed Indefinitely

Stone Oak drivers may have noticed a real headache this morning when they tried to travel southbound on US 281 from Sonterra Boulevard.   According to the Texas Department of Transportation (TDOT), the southbound Sonterra Boulevard entrance ramps closed Monday, Jan. 14, and will remain closed until late spring/early summer of this year.
